This month three new Vintner Partners join Vintners Charitable Cooperative in its effort to help nonprofit organizations raise money while at the same time celebrating the world’s greatest winemakers. They are: Balletto Vineyards in Santa Rosa, CA; COHO Wines in Napa, CA; and Judd's Hill Winery in Napa, CA.

February 3, 2010: Operation Smile, Sixth VCC Charity Partner
Just two days after announcing its fifth Charity Partner, Vintners Charitable Cooperative (VCC) is pleased to announce its sixth Charity Partner, Operation Smile. Headquartered in Norfolk, VA, Operation Smile is a worldwide children’s medical charity whose network of global volunteers are dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and young adults.The organization will receive 50% of the net profits from their online-only wine club. February 1, 2010: National Alliance for Thrombosis & Thrombophilia, Fifth VCC Charity Partner
Vintners Charitable Cooperative (VCC) is pleased to announce its fifth Charity Partner, the National Alliance for Thrombosis & Thrombophilia (NATT). Headquartered in Upstate New York, NATT's mission is to prevent, diagnose and treat deep venous thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE) and genetic blood clotting disorders (thrombophilia) through research, education, support and advocacy. January 21, 2010: VCC Vintner Partner, D'Argenzio Winery Supports Haiti Relief
D'Argenzio Winery is making a special offer for the next 30 people to join a VCC wine club that will be receiving his April shipment. This includes the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children's Cancer, Greater DC Cares and Reach Out and Read. The winery will donate 25% of the spring offering ($34.50) to Haiti Relief. He will also donate 100% of the tasting fee at their winery in Santa Rosa, CA to Haiti Relief. For more information, contact the winery at (707) 546-2466.

A Kensington town councilman has launched an online wine marketplace that will give 50 percent of its proceeds to partner charities, urging patrons to "Drink Charitably." But Mackie Barch's Vintners Charitable Cooperative won't be filling goblets or coffers of Marylanders any time soon. Direct delivery of wine from vintner to consumer, the system upon which the company is based, is illegal in this and 12 other states, so the Web-only storefront will be restricted to the places its goods can be can legally delivered.
